Turn a PDF Sales Report Into Excel Data
Monthly sales reports from ERP systems, shop platforms or distributors often arrive as PDF. They are fine to read, but you can't sort them by region, compare months or build a chart until the figures are in Excel.
The converter rebuilds the report's tables as Excel rows and columns. It works with digital PDF reports; scanned printouts are not supported because they contain no readable text.

What a sales report usually contains
- Period, region, sales rep or branch
- Product, product group or SKU
- Units sold, revenue, discounts and margin
- Comparison with the previous period or target, often as a percentage
From PDF to analysis
Tip: convert the reports of several months and paste them into one sheet with a Month column. A pivot table then shows the trend per region or product at a glance.
- Revenue figures like 12,450.00 become real numbers – ready for SUM and pivot tables.
- Percentages like 8% stay text; remove the % sign or recalculate them in Excel.
- Charts and logos in the PDF are not converted – only the text and tables.
- Reports with headers on every page: filter out the repeated header rows.

Sales report to Excel – questions and answers
Are the charts in my report converted?
No. Charts are graphics; the converter extracts the text and tables. Rebuild the chart in Excel from the converted numbers.
Will the revenue figures be numbers?
Yes, for amounts like 12,450.00. Amounts with a currency sign or in the European format 12.450,00 stay text.
What about scanned reports?
They are not supported, because OCR (text recognition) is not available. Use the original PDF export.
Is the report uploaded?
No. Your sales figures are converted in your browser and never leave your device.
