Payslip to Excel – Compare Your Pay Month by Month

Payslips show gross pay, taxes, social contributions and net pay – but one PDF per month makes it hard to see how your salary develops, check a raise or prepare a tax return. In Excel, the numbers of every month sit side by side.

Salary data is private, so PDFConvertFast converts the payslip in your browser and never uploads it. It works with digital PDF payslips from your employer or payroll portal; scanned or photographed payslips are not supported.

Your files stay on your device. Conversions run in your browser.

Works best with digital PDFs that contain selectable text or tables. Scanned PDFs may need OCR.

What converts well

  • Earnings and deductions tables, each line with its label and amount.
  • Year-to-date totals, if your payslip shows them.
  • Personal details and the employer's address as separate text rows.

Payslip layouts and number formats

Many payslips print earnings and deductions next to each other. PDFConvertFast rebuilds what it finds on the page, so both blocks can end up side by side in different columns – which makes a good starting point for your overview.

Amounts like 3,250.00 become numbers. Amounts in the European format, such as 3.250,00, stay as text; Excel's Text to Columns or Find & Replace turns them into numbers. Check amounts without decimals such as 1.500: they are read as 1.5, so correct them before you calculate.

Build a yearly salary overview

Create one sheet with a row per month and the columns Gross, Tax, Social contributions and Net. After converting each payslip, copy the values in. A sum at the bottom gives you the year's totals for your tax return.

Payslip to Excel – questions and answers

Is it safe to convert my payslip here?

The payslip is converted in your browser and never sent to a server or stored. Close the tab when you are done and keep the Excel file somewhere safe.

Why are some amounts not numbers?

Amounts written in the European format (3.250,00) or with a currency symbol stay as text. Convert them with Find & Replace or Text to Columns in Excel.

Can I convert a whole year of payslips?

Yes, one PDF at a time. Copy each month's values into one overview sheet.

Does it work with a scanned payslip?

No. Scanned payslips are images, and PDFConvertFast has no OCR. Download the PDF from your payroll portal instead.
