Why PNG instead of JPG?
PNG stores images without loss. Thin lines, small text, diagrams and screenshots stay crisp, without the blurry edges and colour blocks that JPG compression can create around letters. That makes PNG the better choice when a PDF page will be placed into a presentation, a wiki, a design tool or technical documentation.
The trade-off is size: a PNG of a photo-heavy page is larger than a JPG of the same page. For photos and scans, PDF to JPG is usually the more practical option.
What you get
- One PNG file per PDF page, numbered in page order.
- 150 DPI for screens and documents, 220 DPI for printing or zooming in.
- A white background, exactly as the page looks in a PDF viewer.
- Very large pages are scaled down slightly so they work on phones as well.

PDF to PNG – frequently asked questions
How do I convert a PDF to PNG?
Choose your PDF, pick a resolution and click “Convert to PNG”. Each page is saved as its own PNG image.
Is the PNG transparent?
No. Pages are rendered on a white background, just like a PDF viewer shows them. The PNG itself is lossless, so text and lines stay sharp.
Which resolution should I choose?
150 DPI is enough for screens, slides and documents. Choose 220 DPI if you want to print the images or zoom into details.
Can I convert only one page?
Every page is converted. Download just the PNG of the page you need, or first remove other pages with the PDF editor.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The pages are rendered in your browser, so the PDF stays on your device.
