Convert a PDF Inventory List to Excel
Stock lists exported from warehouse or ERP systems, or sent by a supplier, are often PDFs with hundreds of lines. For a stock count, a reorder list or an inventory valuation, they need to be in Excel.
The converter reads digital inventory PDFs and puts each article into its own row. Printed and scanned stock lists are not supported, because the tool has no OCR.

Typical columns
- Article number, SKU or EAN
- Description, location or bin
- Quantity on hand, unit, minimum stock
- Unit cost and stock value
Working with the list
For a physical count, add a column “Counted” next to the quantity and a difference column with =Counted-Quantity.
- Choose “All pages in one sheet” so a long list stays one continuous table.
- Article numbers with leading zeros stay text. EAN codes without a leading zero become numbers – format that column as Number with 0 decimals so Excel doesn't show 4.00638E+12.
- Quantities become numbers – use a filter to find articles below minimum stock.
- Repeated page headers and page totals appear as extra rows; remove them before summing.

Inventory list to Excel – questions and answers
Are long inventory lists supported?
Yes. Every page is converted; choose “All pages in one sheet” for one continuous list.
Will EAN barcodes stay complete?
Yes. Codes with leading zeros are kept as text; 13-digit codes without one become numbers with all digits. Format that column as Number with 0 decimals to display them in full.
Can I convert a printed stock list I scanned?
No. Scans are images and OCR is not supported. Export the list as PDF from your system instead.
Is my stock data uploaded?
No. It is converted in your browser and stays on your device.
