Compare PDF Quotations in Excel

When you request offers from several suppliers or contractors, the quotations arrive as PDFs in different layouts. To compare them fairly – position by position – it helps to have all of them in one spreadsheet.

PDFConvertFast turns the positions of a digital quotation into Excel rows. Scanned or handwritten offers are not supported, because OCR is not available.

Typical content of a quotation

  • Quote number, date and validity period
  • Positions with description, quantity, unit and unit price
  • Discounts, delivery costs, VAT and total
  • Payment and delivery terms

Building a price comparison

Compare not only the total but also delivery costs, payment terms and validity – they are part of the offer, too.

  • Convert each offer and copy the positions into one sheet with one price column per supplier.
  • Plain prices become numbers; prices with a currency sign or a decimal comma stay text and need a quick Find & Replace.
  • Optional positions and alternatives often appear as separate rows – mark them before comparing totals.
  • Terms and conditions become text rows at the end of the sheet.

Convert each PDF, then put the positions side by side in one sheet with one price column per supplier.

Are optional positions included?

Yes. Everything with text in the PDF is converted; mark optional positions so they don't enter the total.

Can I convert a handwritten quote?

No. Handwriting and scans need OCR, which is not supported.

Are the offers uploaded?

No. They are converted in your browser and stay on your device.
